Newton's three laws of motion can be summarized as:

  1. An object at rest remains at rest, or an object in motion remains in motion, unless acted upon by a force. (Inertia)
  2. Force equals mass multiplied by acceleration. (F= m*a)
  3. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. (F₁=F₂)
